The Chicago “L”
This is the “L” (raised tram) running in a loop around downtown Chicago. It makes a h… of a racket, but in the early morning sun, everything looks beautiful.
The “L” is the second largest public transport system in the US after the NYC Metro and with the same Metro, the only two mass transit systems offering 24 hour service. The oldest section started operating in 1892.
