Amazing how you have managed to capture the essence of this part of rural Texas in just a few pictures. When I suggested you needed to drive NW from Houston for an hour or so to find the real Texas countryside, I had no idea you would really do it! When you said you were going, I was worried that on a weekend road trip you would struggle to find creative material – how wrong I was.

This is a scene played out thousands of times every morning wherever the farmers live. Notice that the man on the right is wearing long sleeves. My grandpa would wear a long sleeved shirt to work in the fields year round, even in the heat of summer.

This picture is so sharp… wonderful.
What I like most is two older guys… just acting like buddies having some DQ and out for a drive. Gives one hope for their own future.
