Istanbul Backlight B&W
We are normally not too keen on back-light silhouetting, however, we like trams and tram lines and this street scene from Istanbul appealed to us.
.
Vi liker vanligvis ikke siluett bilder, men vi liker trikker og trikke skinner. Denne gatescenen fra Istanbul appelerte til oss.

Stumble It!

You’ve highlighted the street textures and the tracks perfectly. We’re really not too keen on anything unless it works! As always, love your shots of faraway lands. Istambul is a beautiful and culture rich place. You’ve captured some of it here. Great job!
Wonderful composition. The high contrast enhances the textures and forces you to follow the tracks. Well done!
I like everything interesting , beautiful and things that make me react in any way. I like this picture and the darker areas as well as the lighter areas are very nice. And I also see an alternate way for the tram to use
The b&w emphasizes the detail and texture in this and it takes on an almost classic style . . the backlighting makes it, of course.
I like the details on pavement, great black and white
Det var en flott dybde i bildet, og s/h versjon av denne siluetten var super.
The curing track provides a wonderful line through the photo, and the smootheness between the rails provides counterpoint to the tight square paving blocks. A nice pattern study.
I love hard light on paved roads. It really brings out the texture. In this shot you have the tracks as well. It is a beauty, great shot!
A gorgeous composition with the curve of the rails trapping the eye. This is a super shot.
the angle of the sun looks to have a nice effect in this street shot, of course the winding path of the trails make for an interesting composition too.. great shot..
great use of the light. i love how those lines introduce the viewer into the picture. i plan to go to Istanbul myself in august this year. i heard is an amazing city. hope to make there
well done
Nice use of the lines and curves here!
Un “black and white” vraiment bien maitrisé pour une composition réussie!
Really beautiful black and white. I like it.
The eye is trailing along the rails, meeting these dark, strange figures/silhouettes.
Awesome frame. I visited Istanbul, wasn’t able to catch good street scenes. Nice!
love the lines of those tracks. draw you right through.
Great light on the pavemen, really brings the texture out along with the tram lines… very nice shot
the high contrast black and white image has brought out the details very much!
Se det – ny orginal vinkel og flotte linjer i bilde!
a wonderful street scenery and play with ligth and shadow. I like the grand mother on the right between a car and rails.
It’s an interesting shot with very dramatic light. Glad you forged through your anti-backlight preference.
very fine tones! I like it!
Great patterns in the street, Nice shot!
This almost makes me squint! Great backlight indeed, and the figures stand out beautifully!
very nice lines and toning. Well done.
Excellent b/w! love the contrast.
A classic one, but well done!
