These are great patterns made by the rippling water over the palm fronds. HDR or not, this result is quite striking.

This branch/leaf looks like a skeleton of an ancient creature. At first look at this photo the impact is very strong.

I like this photo a lot . Great perspective and very interesting ‘palm frond’ ( never heard of this word before ) but what I like the most are tones. Very pretty indeed !

Well, I like it. I love the composition. I like how it looks as though the frond has been preserved in lucite. I also run into that problem sometimes where my vision does not match the photo and try all the things you do to try and find it. One day, you’ll learn a technique, remember this photo and it will be perfect for it.

Not having been there, I don’t have the same problem as you. I like the shot as is and I liked your humble commentary as much.

i really like how the palm frond looks semi-submerged in the water with the ripples of water shimmering over it.. but i can’t quite come up with a way to frame this scene uniquely so i think you’ve managed to pull this off just well.. that’s probably how i’d shoot it also.. nice shot!
