Lovely colours and contrast between nature and industry.

I bet your cold Texas mornings aren't as cold as cold Scottish mornings - especially after a few weeks in Thailand!

This photo really evokes wide open spaces to me, but spaces that have been touched by civilization. Good eye to see this photo. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment.

My comment seems misstated. Along a road like this, one would expect to find a rural setting complete with cows, etc. Instead, we drive in 'out of the way places' and find polluting smokestacks where our pastures were. Anyone can find a cow, but this photo has relevance for me in a changing landscape. The utility pole, the haze and the great colors add to this feeling. A shot that only those with a good eye would have stopped for.

For me, there is something relevant here. The view along this road and the picture you should have stopped for should have included a cow. This looks like a road in the middle of nowhere and there are smokestacks spouting pollution in fresh air space. The utility pole adds to the mood of this. I love the colors in this. Nice!

Nice mix of nature and technology. The placement of the pole separate from but related to (or echoing) the power plant works well, as does that diagonal sweep of wires at the top.
