I think the restraint you have exercised with the dark tones is appropriate for a fog picture. I like the gray tones very much. It is all too easy to overdo dark contrast as I am sometimes guilty of doing. I personally don’t feel a need for a sky crop, I like the light as is.

Very nice B&W conversion. I think the dark band of fog across the middle distracts from the feeling of peace and quiet of the scene. But I don’t mind the large expanse of sky, it makes for a much more opened composition.

I like the streakiness of the fog – you can acutally see the bands. I agree with the above comment that some of the sky could have been cropped out.

Very nice. Tranquil. Quiet feeling. Mist/fog always looks best in B&W. The sky gives the image a bright, cheerful (instead of an omnious) feel.
