The Last Shot

The Last Shot

One of our little friends is dead. He used to be so colorful, that is all gone, and he will never smile again.
This is the last shot.

.

En av våre små venner er død.  Han var så fargerik, fargene er borte nå og han vil aldri smile igjen.
Dette er det siste bildet.

  1. Great works…it looks like a scientific image!

  2. I was thinking silence of the lambs – none the less. Wonderful macro shot. Love the back lit lighting, making him transparent. Should it have been a vertical shot, or does his tail end there?

  3. the mention of his demise and the way you shot him gives me a feeling of this being ‘clinical’ :) but still, it’s an awesome image.. nice shot..

  4. Well, you certainly managed to ressurect a little vibrance in this shot. Well lit. Love all that lacy detail. Nice work.

  5. Wonderful macro shot; I like the colours and these details … particularly this grid of the wings. Really good work!

  10. Excellent macro, really like the details in the wings and the colors are still there even after its demise… excellent light too.

Would have liked to see the entire tail, but that just nit-picking :)

  17. He is still a beautiful creature. Great macro.

  18. Did you shoot him with on a light table with a ring light? Unfortunately I sold my light table thinking I’d never need it anymore.

The image does look clinical, but not it a bad way. It’s very detailed, and they’re ver interesting creatures. We cal them dragonflies here…not sure what you guys call them.

  20. the poor bugger.

Nice photograph and an original macro (never came to the idea of putting a dead insect on a light table, it gives a pretty cool effect here).

  21. Stakkars.
