Seagull
Seagull resting between pelicans and other sea birds. They don’t always scream for food….
Did you know that they have found a fossil from the The Laridae (family of seagulls) from the Early Oligocene (geological period some 30-33 million years ago)?
In other words; they were here before us….
.

Stumble It!

Great nature photo. Also, one year ago I released a photo to a seagull on a wharf.

I love this picture…nice angle and compotition.
regard from Jogjakarta Indonesia
Rats with wings… but I love them anyway. Looks like a great place to sit and wait for the day to pass. Interesting info too.
It looks like paint on the poles, but it doesn’t add up with all the birds. It seems like you are as near as you can, the bird is watching you closely.
Great detail and sharpness. Love the two bigger birds behind the seagull.
Excellent composition here. Love the details.
I had a series of “Gulls on Poles” a couple of years ago.
Nice image..great composition and color…reminds me of being near the ocean.
and they seem to have invented the painting well before us…
Yes…i like what I see, the setting, the framing and the dof. I am wondering what the photo would do if you would have decreased the brightness or isolated the seagull a bit more.
curious image! I like this tones white and blue…
regards
Beautiful image, perfect composition and image processing. I congratulate you.
Greetings
Really like the dof you’ve applied to this shot, works really nice.
Along with a nice composition it is a pleasant picture to look at.
can almost smell the ocean and the seagulls
Great details and perfect use of DOF, very nice shot!
very nice dof.. this shot looks great.. nice work..
Bonjour,
well done composition..nice shot..Bravo!
Impressive shot and great use of DOF.
Very nicely composed.
Kjempeflott bilde. Dybde, farge og måken er super
Really, really, Nice! I almost expected to smell the sea, feel the breeze and hear the gulls screaming! Very life-like!
It is interesting to see that they existed before man. Looks like this one did a good job of painting the post it is sitting on!
I do like the pelicans in the background – Have you got photos of the pelicans, too?
Interesting shot, nice framing.
Good bokeh and composition.
great composition. that’s an, um, well-used post.
Elsker dybdekomposisjonen.
All options were -very well- used here to bring attention on the bird.
Superb.
I love this shot! Great colors.
Great shot. I love it. Where is this place?
outstanding from A to Z !
meravigliosa.
Great shot but I don’t know if I’m smelling the ocean or something else. Very nice white tones to this shot.

This stylites bird is watching and impassive. A philosopher, sure! Very nice composition.
We see some pelicans too. Little chunk of life in this stark world.
great dof !!
Veldig stilig bilde.
Great shot! I like the line of birds!
Very beautiful light and great DOF!
Great DOF, nice shot
great shot… reminds me of Richard Back’s Jonathan Livingstone, the Seagull…
Great photo.
