The feathers from these birds would have made a unique hat ... that would have gone with the ladies on the boardwalk in my vintage photo today! I remember seeing Scarlet Ibis a few times when I was a kid, my mom and I sitting in the brush waiting until sunset with a pair of binoculars. Wish we had had a camera, too! Wonderful photo!
