Again, great use of HDR, this one is quite a bit over the top with the graduations of color but still, what most people who use HDR forget, the composition is great and the colors pop. Great job!

Dette var en vakker serie bilder med temaet ødeleggelse. Syns dere har fått fram både uhyggen og skjønnheten i destruksjonen. Gjennomtenkt komponerte bilder som virkelig får meg til å tenke. Syns dere har vært gode på å bruke innramming og elementer i motivet for å lede oppmerksomheten. Og fargebruken er som vanlig delikat. Takk!

We certainly agree with you – this is overdone, or rather it is done double; first it is an HDR and then we played in Topaz. The intention was not to make it real – rather to bring out the vibrancy in color and texture.

But; you are right; the sky did not turn out quite as we wanted. As usual when it comes to HDR; Some clouds are preferable, as a dramatic sky is easier to treat than the pure blue Texas sky (it is true, we do have a lot of sunny days with clear, blue sky – that is when we not are hit by hurricanes!) which tends to show every halo and every attempt to adjust it. We are aware of the problem, so we better keep working on that part…. Thank you for pointing it out.

Another great example of how destructive mother nature can be. Great vibrant colors really push the attention to the used-to-be-pier, very nice. I also think it may be a bit too much HDR, with some light areas around some of the structure… But overall a great picture and document of Ikes rampage. Well taken.

Wow! Gorgeous HDR. Not overdone at all. Sometimes people overdo the HDR tone mapping/processing, but I think this was just the right amount.

I like the shot! It has a very strange feel to it. The perspective makes it look like it goes out into the ocean for miles. Cool!

I’m a bit under the impression that it ‘s just a little too muche “HDR”. But that’s just a personal feeling. The picture is great.

A nice view with a big potential for fantastic images. It’s great you have been able to capture a non static scene with multiple images ==> the sea looks excellent. The tone mapping is IMHO not well performed. There are some many nasty halos which don’t look natural. Also the sky is fragmented into different parts with different looking lighting.

Nice story. Good info in this series. Beautiful shot with really great HDR processing that worked especially well with this image. Love the rust colors against the blues.
