American White Ibis
A wading bird of the deep South, the striking White Ibis is frequently seen on lawns looking for large insects as well as probing for prey along the shoreline, or resting on one of its long red legs. They are 55-68 cm long and both sexes look alike. We like their blue eyes! Shot taken in Brazos Bend, Texas.
