Flott bilde! Jeg liker sv/hv. Og håret hans er jo fascinerende da!

Anne:
Takker og bukker.

Selsius:

Geir:
Thank you for the reference, there seem to be a Wiki for every aspect of life..
The reason for the sharp background is that the kid is virtually beneath the hanging garments, so little opportunity to play with DOF. We could have blurred the background in PS but have not had good results with blurring in PS (probably more of a problem with us than with PS).
Glad you liked the shot, we are quite pleased with this one.
-
Santiago and Mark:
Thank you and welcome (back for Santiago) to the site.
-
Ivar:
Thank you. Colours are great, but sometimes just too difficult. Some picture have more of a visual impact in B&W,
Yes, the kid is absolutely a Cowboys fan (there are a lot of them in Houston, Go Texans!!)

Great “In the moment” shot.
-
The B&W makes the picture so much more appealing to look at. I think that sometimes the colors just takes away from the picture rather than add to it. This seems like a good example of this (even though I haven’t seen it with colors).
-
Is the kid a Cowboys fan by the way?? :D

This shot made me go read up on street photography, and you seem to have done it just right. According to Wikipedia, Street Photography mainly uses B&W, aperture is usually around f4 to f8, concentrates on a single human moment, read full article here.
.
I also think that black and white works well here, but fore some reason I’m surprised that the background is as sharp as it is when you have used f4.5. Street and documentary are my favorite kind of photos. and this one works very well. The article doesn’t say much about spontaneousity (is that correctly spelled?), but it should be something that defines a street image, and this one is full of it.
