Utsira
Utsira Is the smallest municipality of Norway in population. It consists of an island located in the North Sea, 18 km west of Haugesund – and the closest we get to The United Kingdom while still standing in Norway. When we were visiting there were 213 people living at Utsira. Probably the only municipality where they know the exact population at any time……
It is a wonderful little island (only 6.15 km2), and Utsira is well known as the best birding site in Norway. There have been 317 different species recorded on Utsira, of which 23 are new to Norway.
This is from the art project Små Hytter, a moving art installation.
